You asked for shorter science communication & communication skills workshops. Wish granted!
SciComm Success now offers loads of “bite-sized” communication training options and modular approaches to building workshops for busy, time-poor and attention-stressed researchers and scientists.
While our full-day workshops are ideal for hands-on learning, with time to practise, apply techniques, and receive feedback, we know that’s not always possible.
Graduate schools, science communication coordinators, and training teams are increasingly telling us that students and faculty are asking for shorter, focused sessions, especially online. We’ve listened, and we now offer bite-sized versions of many of our most popular training programmes, along with modular learning pathways that can be tailored to your group.
Here’s an example of what we can do:
- Start with a Foundations Session (2–3 hours)
- Add targeted, practical follow-ups on specific topics
- Include space for peer review, real-time feedback, and reflection
So who is this approach good for?
This approach works especially well for:
- Doctoral training weeks
- Online skill-building series
- Multi-site or international research teams
- Research communication skill development over time
